Can you take LSD and psychologically trick yourself to not trip?

the weirdest thing happened today idk why but we dropped lsd and going into it i didnt think it would work idk why but i had my doubts and we didnt trip there was 3 of us. one of my friends took 2 tabs theres two options i have in my mind. we were ripped off with bonk acid or call me i crazy some how we physchologically tricked ourselves to believing we wouldnt trip. I talked to the guy that gave it to me and he was straight up with me saying he was completely confused he sold over 200 in the last couple days and nobody complained and we were the first ones to of had complained he couldnt believe it and wouldnt refund us. you see someone told me that if u trip with the LSD on a sweet tart it wont work and as i tripped that was subconsiously in my mind then i was telling my friends how i wasnt tripping and as a result they didnt trip is there any info i can find on this becuase im confused
