Is the MBR the same for FreeDOS and MSDOS?

I want to switch my bootable flash USB drive from FreeDOS to MSDOS. If I overwrite all of the important files with MSDOS files (ie COMMAND.COM, CONFIG.SYS, AUTOEXEC.BAT etc) will it run fine, or do I need to modify the MBR for my flash drive?
