MY EAR PROBLEm?

right now i have the cold for abut 2 days now and ive noticed that my right hear has a little bit of hearing loss i can still here though not that good i feel as if its blocked..i went to the doctors and he said that it was due to my cold and gave me a prespriction for antibiotics ive tried to crak my ear drum by holding my nose and blowing with my mouth closed to help i but all i hear is a couple cracks and sometimes a slight pain i am really annoyed by this...please help me
